I recently visited Amokura Glass; a glass-making studio and glass art gallery in Rotorua New Zealand. Run by artist Heather Kremen, the studio produces high-quality decorative and functional glass art. While they specialise in blown glass, the team is passionate about art glass in all its forms and the facilities include studios for fused and cast glass and lead lighting.

I thoroughly enjoyed my workshop experience and came away with an only slightly wonky vase for my first attempt. In an ever evolving world of technology and AI I am enjoying learning new skills and hands on practical art techniques.
